Citadel Securities invested $400M in Crypto.com at a $20B valuation, in the exchange’s first institutional fundraising round since its 2016 founding. The capital will support expansion into tokenized securities, derivatives, and other asset classes.

Matters because: One of the world’s biggest market makers is betting deeper on crypto infrastructure, even in a weak year for BTC.
