BitGo has recenrly integrated the Stacks sBTC bridge.
BitGo's ~1.2M users can now convert BTC to sBTC and back directly inside the custody setup they already use. The integration lands just before Stacks' self-custodial Bitcoin Staking goes live, which will let holders earn native BTC yield without giving up custody.
And BitGo is a major player for institutional custody
A difficult part of BTCFi was getting big institutional BTC holders to use it without leaving the custody they trust.
A major custodian wiring in sBTC removes that barrier for a huge base of holders who don’t want to touch a bridge or a wrapper.
